Laser Dentistry: The Go-To Solution for Soft Tissue Care
Our Laser Soft Tissue Treatment Options
Gummy Smile Treatment
A “gummy” smile is when too much gum tissue is covering the natural crown of the tooth. Crown lengthening, or “gummy” smile treatment removes excess gum tissue from around the teeth to expose natural teeth or reshape the gumline.
Uncovering Dental Implants
In preparation for the dental crown to be attached, a diode laser is used to remove excess gum tissue from around the implant post. The laser eliminates the need to cut the gum tissue to uncover the post for restoration.
Gum disease is an infection of the gums that can lead to damage of the bone and compromise the health of the teeth. A laser is used to remove the diseased gum tissue so healthy gums can reattach to the teeth.
The frenulum is tissue that restricts the movement of the upper lip and tongue. Too much restriction can cause tongue-tie or lip-tie. We use a laser to gently dissolve this excessive tissue to improve eating, speaking, and the gap between front teeth.
