Zirconia dental implants
Implants are usually made of titanium. Titanium is a strong metal that has unique biocompatible properties in that it is able to integrate (fuse) with human bone tissue, resulting in very stable implants. However, because some patients have metal sensitivities or do not want metal implants for other reasons, Dr. Feldman also offers zirconia implants. Zirconia is a very hard, durable material that fuses with human bone tissue just like titanium, but it does not have metallic properties. It is white in color and is often used to make crowns for back teeth due its strong, wear-resistant nature.

Our Dental Implant procedure for precise placement
The implant placement needs to be precisely planned ahead of time to ensure good results. Dr. Feldman uses his experience, knowledge and the latest technology to make sure your dental implant procedure is efficient, accurate and done correctly.
State-of-the-art 3D imaging technology for accurate diagnostics
Dr. Feldman will first perform thorough diagnostics, using his cone beam 3D CT scanner to obtain 360° 3D images of your jaw, teeth and head. The images can be viewed from any angle, and allow Dr. Feldman to determine how much bone is available, check into the state of your gum tissue and get a good view of your surrounding anatomical structures. This information helps Dr. Feldman analyze and determine the best way to stably place your implant.
Surgical guides for precise implant planning and placement
Dr. Feldman use the 3D images to direct the fabrication of a custom surgical guide for your implant placement. The surgical guide fits precisely over your dental arch and indicates the exact placement position and angle of each implant to be placed.
Use of the surgical guide makes the procedure quick, accurate and precise, resulting in a shortened healing process.
Gentle tooth extractions
When a tooth needs to be extracted before placement of an implant, Dr. Feldman uses a special surgical technique to gently remove the tooth from the socket, with the least possible disturbance of the surrounding gum and bone tissues. Thanks to this method, healing time is reduced.
Bone grafting to provide sufficient implant support
If there is not enough bone in the jaw to adequately support an implant, Dr. Feldman will perform a procedure known as a bone graft. He will place high-quality bone material into the implant site to effectively and safely regenerate sufficient bone. He can often do this at the same time as the placement of the implant, so that the new bone tissue can integrate with the implant during the healing process.
Temporary teeth in the same day
Dr. Feldman carefully plans and coordinates your treatment so that your restorative dentist will provide you with a temporary tooth or teeth immediately after placement of your implants. If you are receiving implant-supported dentures or bridges, your restorative dentist will place a previously custom-fabricated temporary set of teeth so you are never left without teeth after surgery.
Monitoring implant stability during the healing process
Dr. Feldman uses the advanced Osstell® implant stability meter to monitor the stability of your implants during the healing process. This high-tech testing device utilizes radio frequencies to establish the level of integration of your implants with the surrounding bone tissue. The implant stability meter removes the risk of loading your final restorations onto the implants too soon (which could lead to implant failure), while at the same eliminating any unnecessary waiting time before receiving your final restorations.
Durable and natural-looking new teeth
When measurements show that healing has been completed and your implants are stable and solid in your bone tissue, Dr. Feldman will let your restorative dentist know that you are ready to receive your final tooth restorations.
Our office partners with a number of excellent restorative dentists in the area who do excellent work and whom our patients are very comfortable with. We will arrange and coordinate your treatment schedule and visits for you, so that all your appointments are smooth and you can receive your final restorations in an efficient, well-coordinated manner.
Ensuring your comfort
Dr. Feldman takes every measure to ensure your implant treatment is as efficient and comfortable as possible. We make sure you are at ease by explaining your treatment ahead of time and keeping you well-informed throughout the procedure. We are always available if you have any questions or areas of concern.
We provide pillows, blankets and headphones or audio speakers to enjoy music of your choice on our Pandora music feed while you are receiving treatment.
Procedures are often performed under local anesthesia and patients generally experience little discomfort afterwards. Dr. Feldman uses the latest high-tech equipment and technology to make all procedures as gentle and comfortable as possible. Oral sedation is available if you need further help reducing anxiety.
