A highly skilled and experienced periodontist
Dr. Steven Feldman has over 40 years of periodontal experience. He was the first periodontist in Sarasota County to use a laser for the treatment of gum disease. He co-developed a special technique for using the laser without the need for anesthesia, and published the first research on this subject. He has successfully placed over 18,000 dental implants in his career.
As well as developing an innovative dental treatment planning software program, he has also been an instructor, lecturer and consultant in his field. He has served as a clinical instructor in periodontics at Medical College of Virginia Dental School in Richmond, VA, and he has lectured to dental professionals throughout the country.
Dr. Feldman continues to stay up-to-date on the latest breakthroughs and technological advances. His knowledge, diagnostic skills and surgical abilities provide his patients with efficient and comfortable treatment for the best possible results.
A team of highly trained professionals
Dr. Feldman has assembled a staff comprised of highly trained and experienced professionals who are here to make your dental procedure as effective and comfortable as possible.
He uses a team of two Registered Dental Assistants and one Registered Nurse during every surgical procedure. This makes the procedure more efficient and faster, providing a more comfortable experience for the patient and decreasing any risk of damage to the patient’s oral tissues due to prolonged exposure.
Advanced technology for minimally invasive treatment
Dr. Feldman uses state-of-the-art dental equipment and technology to treat gum disease and perform the surgical placement of dental implants in a minimally invasive, efficient and comfortable manner.
Using our cone beam 3D CT scanner to produce detailed 3D images of your teeth, gums and jawbone, Dr. Feldman precisely plans the placement angle and position of your dental implants prior to treatment. When needed, he can also create surgical guides that help him place your implants with the highest degree of precision and accuracy.
Special dental laser technology has given Dr. Feldman the ability to provide minimally invasive gum disease treatment without the need for scalpels and sutures, even in cases of advanced gum disease. The laser targets bacteria and diseased tissue without harming surrounding healthy tissue, making the treatment more efficient, faster healing and far more comfortable than traditional gum surgery.
